camping party

Bella was so funny this year, whenever I asked her what she wanted for her birthday she'd start naming off party ideas. So, like a good (ok, annoying) mom I kept bugging her, and finally she came up with a tea cup. And that is it. Nothing else.

I did grab a horse plate and a couple of books, too. And her favorite item; these little book labels:

Then she was off to school.

She really wanted a camping party, so we got out the fire pit and camp chairs.

We set up a little dinner and roasted hot dogs:

Added a s'mores bar:

Complete with s'mores cupcakes:

And made some little goody bags, with a notebook and little twig pencils:

All in all, a pretty simple party to plan. I am glad we kept it small since there was fire involved. I was pretty paranoid about a kid getting injured, fortunately everything worked out fine.
